Seth A Smith, a talented filmmaker and visual artist hailing from Nova Scotia, has made a name for himself through his captivating cinematic endeavors, including the critically acclaimed films The Crescent, Lowlife, and Wind Through A Tree.
In 2012, Smith embarked on his filmmaking journey by completing his debut feature, Lowlife, a 5k film that premiered at the prestigious Fantasia festival and subsequently received a nationwide, crowd-sourced theatrical release across 25 cities.
Fast-forward to 2017, Smith's sophomore effort, The Crescent, made its world premiere in the Midnight Madness section of the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF),earning accolades for its outstanding score, screenwriting, and the performance of its lead actress at the Atlantic International Film Festival. Furthermore, The Crescent garnered a nomination for the 2017 Directors Guild of Canada Discovery Award, solidifying Smith's reputation as a rising talent in the film industry.
Beyond his work as a director, Seth A Smith is also recognized for his musical endeavors, having contributed to the band Dog Day.
