Upon his return to Mexico in the mid-1950s, Gonzalez's professional path took a significant turn as he became deeply involved with the ruling Partido Revolucionario Institucional (PRI) party. This affiliation led to him creating a series of documentaries that showcased his remarkable storytelling abilities and artistic vision.
