Selma Vilhunen is a renowned director and screenwriter of both fiction and documentary films, boasting an impressive array of accolades and credits to her name. Among her many accomplishments, she is one of the co-founders of the esteemed production company Tuffi Films.
Her most recent film, Stupid Young Heart, made a significant splash at the Berlin International Film Festival in 2019, taking home the coveted Crystal Bear award. Additionally, her feature documentary Hobbyhorse Revolution garnered widespread recognition, claiming the Best Documentary Film Prize at the Finnish National Film Awards (Jussi Awards) in 2018 and receiving a nomination for the European Film Academy's Young Audience Award in the same year.
