Selma Doborac, a visionary filmmaker based in Vienna, has established herself as a master of innovative storytelling, effortlessly merging the boundaries between essay, documentary, and experimental film, while also incorporating elements of photography and conceptual art to create intellectually stimulating and groundbreaking works that redefine the very fabric of traditional narrative.

Throughout her illustrious career, Doborac has had the privilege of honing her craft at some of the most prestigious institutions in the industry. From 2002 to 2007, she attended the University of Applied Arts, Vienna, where she studied under the guidance of renowned artist Bernhard Leitner within the Department for Mixed Media Strategies.

Following her undergraduate studies, Doborac went on to pursue a master's degree at the Academy of Fine Arts, Vienna, within the Department for Art and Film, under the tutelage of the esteemed filmmaker Harun Farocki.
