Sean Ramey was born in Louisville, Kentucky to John and Jaynee Ramey, becoming the youngest of three children, with two older sisters. At the tender age of 9, his parents took the initiative to enroll him in martial arts classes due to his shyness and being small for his age. Demonstrating an impressive aptitude for the discipline, Sean achieved his black belt in under two years, earning the distinction of becoming the youngest black belt in the association. This remarkable feat did not go unnoticed, and his uncle Roger Ramey, who was then managing the illustrious country music career of Patty Loveless (Sean's aunt),began to showcase his nephew's talents by having him audition for commercials and movies. Following several years of securing small roles in commercials and movies, Sean's big break came when he was cast in Fox's Sexiest Bachelor in America and featured in Cosmopolitan magazine's The Most Eligible Bachelor in America. He then made a notable appearance in Season 4 of ABC's The Bachelorette in 2008. Since then, Sean has continued to build an impressive acting resume, appearing alongside notable actors such as Patricia Arquette, Jon Voight, Mickey Rourke, and Rainn Wilson in several feature films. Moreover, Sean has received recognition for his outstanding performance, winning the award for Best Supporting Actor in A Place Called Home. In addition to his acting endeavors, Sean has also worked as a stunt coordinator on over 30 major projects, crediting his expertise in fight choreography to his extensive experience in martial arts. Currently, Sean owns and operates the Kentucky Taekwondo & Fitness Academy, one of the region's largest martial arts schools.
