Sean's face has been a familiar sight in print-ads, television commercials, and advertisements across Asia, with notable brands such as Intel, Nokia, Pepsi, Osim, banks, and insurance companies showcasing his image.
During his holiday in New York after graduation, Sean was first scouted to appear in a short film titled "Have a Ball," in which he played a detective, marking his debut in the acting world and sparking his interest in filmmaking.
Upon returning to Hong Kong, Sean began modeling after being discovered by an agent while out with friends. In 2007, he participated in the movie "City without Baseball," both on screen and in voice overs.
In 2008, Sean landed the lead role as "Ivan" in the film "Permanent Residence," earning him glowing reviews and recognition from critics and audiences alike. This performance led to him winning the "Best New Actor" award at the 10th Chinese Film Media Awards in 2010, comprising of media and critics from China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.
Since then, Sean has appeared in various films, including "Xun Ren Qi Shi," opposite Chinese actress Yu Nan, "Dual Crisis," a Chinese love story directed by Xu Jinglei, "Camera," a sci-fi movie, and is currently filming a 3D horror movie in Sydney, directed by John Le.
Sean's acting training was at the prestigious Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York, and he was previously represented by CAA and is currently under management by Shaw Brothers Studio.
Outside of acting, Sean is passionate about music, sports, and martial arts, having competed in TKD nationally in England, where he won a silver medal with a broken foot.
Sean draws inspiration from great actors, naming Christian Bale, Edward Norton, Clive Owen, Al Pacino, Marion Cotillard, and Daniel Day-Lewis as his favorites.
