Sean Dulake, an American actor and producer, was born and raised in Arcadia, California, to an English father and a Korean mother. He is based in Los Angeles and Seoul, South Korea, and is known for his work in various Korean dramas and films.
Dulake studied theater arts and business management at Boston University, where he was actively involved in stage productions and co-founded a sketch comedy troupe. After graduating, he moved to South Korea without speaking a word of Korean and went on to learn the language. His efforts paid off when he was cast as the lead in the Korean television series "Jejungwon", where he played the role of Dr. Horace Allen, an American missionary who introduced Western medicine to Korea in the 1880s.
In addition to his work in "Jejungwon", Dulake has also appeared in other notable Korean dramas, including "Athena: Goddess of War", "Feast of the Gods", and "Blood Free" on Disney+ and Hulu. He has also directed and hosted a documentary for Discovery Channel, "Korea Next: Finding Hallyuwood", which earned him a nomination for Best Director at the Asian Television Awards.
Dulake co-wrote and played an American lieutenant colonel in the Korean War film "Operation Chromite", which opened at number one in the Korean summer box office. He also founded his production company, Third Culture Content, and starred in and produced the original series "Dramaworld", which premiered on Netflix and won several awards, including Most Popular Foreign Drama of the Year at the Seoul International Drama Awards.
