Biography

Sean Cisterna is a multi-award-winning film director whose most recent cinematic endeavor is the 2020 international co-production, From the Vine, which boasts an impressive cast, including the esteemed Emmy-winning actor Joe Pantoliano, and has been acquired by the renowned Samuel Goldwyn Films.

Cisterna's previous directorial effort, the highly acclaimed cancer drama Kiss and Cry, released in 2017, achieved immense commercial success, topping the Canadian box office, and is currently streaming globally on Netflix.

His 2015 feature film, Full Out, starring the talented Jennifer Beals, is a biographical drama inspired by the remarkable true story of gymnast Ariana Berlin. The film was initially broadcast on NBC, and is now a part of Netflix Worldwide's extensive library, as well as Disney Europe's content offerings.

In recognition of his significant contributions to the arts and his commitment to community engagement, Cisterna was honored with a Canada 150 Citizenship Award by the Federal Government.
