Biography

Danny Cheng Wan-Cheung, professionally known as Scud Cheng, is a renowned Hong Kong director, whose life journey has been marked by significant transitions and a passion for creative expression. Born in Guangzhou, China, he relocated to Hong Kong at the tender age of 13, where he spent his formative years balancing part-time studies with other pursuits.

After completing his degree in computers from the Open University of Hong Kong, Cheng embarked on a 20-year career in the IT industry, working for a multinational corporation. However, as the years passed, he began to feel an insatiable desire to redirect his path, fueled by his love for music and literature. This introspective period led him to make the bold decision to relocate to Australia, where he could recharge, re-evaluate, and re-chart his future.

Upon his return to Hong Kong, Cheng founded an independent film production company, Artwalker Limited, which has since become a hub for his creative endeavors. Collaborating with esteemed director Liu Guochang, he co-produced his debut film, "A City Without Wilderness". Cheng's impressive repertoire also includes writing and producing numerous works, such as "Permanent Residence", "Amphetamine", "Love Sucks", "You", and "Tong Liu He Wu".
