Scott Allan Campbell is a talented character lead, recognized for his portrayal of tough, working-class characters. Born in Florida on August 6th, 1959, Campbell's early life laid the foundation for his future success.
He graduated from the University of West Virginia and made his small-screen acting debut in the mid-twenties, appearing in the TV series St. Elsewhere in 1982. Throughout the 1980s, Campbell's acting career flourished, with notable appearances in TV series such as 21 Jump Street in 1987 and movies like Terrorist on Trial: The United States vs. Salim Ajami in 1988.
In the 1990s, Campbell's most memorable role on the big screen was in the Civil War drama Gettysburg in 1993. He also made an impressive appearance in a two-part episode on the TV show The X-Files in 1993. Since 1994, Campbell's most visible part on television has been on NYPD Blue, where he played the hard-nosed Detective Sergeant Martens of the Internal Affairs Bureau.
Throughout his career, Campbell has had prominent guest-starring roles on various shows, including Boston Public in 2000 and 24 in 2001.
