Prior to his relocation to the Sunshine State, he was a driving force in the New Mexico Independent Film community, where he lent his talents to numerous films that went on to be selected by esteemed festivals. His impressive performances earned him a coveted Best Actor's nomination for his poignant portrayal in the critically acclaimed film, Bad Situation. Moreover, Scot was handpicked, along with only 14 other talented actors, to participate in the inaugural Actor's Challenge at the prestigious Nashville Film Festival. His exceptional skills also earned him finalist status in both the 2018 and 2019 New Mexico Film Foundations - Actors Showcase.
