Person Biography:
Sarp Akkaya is a talented Turkish film, television, and theatre actor born on May 13, 1980, in Istanbul, Turkey. He began his acting career at the age of 12 alongside his twin brother Kaya Akkaya. Their older sister Esra Akkaya is also an actress.
Sarp's early start in the industry was marked by his appearances in TV series "Bizim Aile" (1996) and "The Magnificent Century" (2011) alongside his twin brother. He has since become well-known for his roles in "Suskunlar" (2012),"Coming Soon" (2014),and "Labyrinth" (2011).
Akkaya graduated from the Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University's Theatre Department in 2001. He performed in various theater plays, including "Later," "Chaos," "Devenin Horgucu Tragic," and "6th Gon." He co-founded the Studio Drama Theater Group with his school friend Onur Bayraktar.
Sarp has also been recognized for his role in "Valley of the Wolves: Ambush" (2007). He was one of the founders of "Tiyatradam" in 2007 and founded the educational institution AKKAdemi Theater in 2010 with his wife Esra Akkaya and twin brother Kaya Akkaya.
In his later career, Sarp has appeared in TV series "Racon" (2015),"Broken Pieces" (2016),and films "Eksik" (2015) and "Filth" (2017).
