Biography

Sarai Koo, Ph.D., is a multifaceted individual with a diverse range of skills and expertise. She is a motivational speaker, facilitator, comedian, actor, host/emcee, author, leadership coach, and culture change engineer, with a passion for empowering individuals and organizations to achieve their full potential.

As the author of "Seoul Food", a creative non-fiction book, Sarai captures the complexities of Korean-American identity and the struggles of second-generation Korean Americans growing up in Los Angeles County. The book offers a unique perspective on the cultural disconnect between Korean-born parents and their American-born children, highlighting universal issues that transcend cultural boundaries.

Sarai's professional life is marked by her entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to helping others. She is the founder of Project SPICES, a coaching, consultancy, and speaking firm that provides programs and services for companies and their leaders in business development, organizational behavior, and workforce transformation. Her expertise lies in helping organizations and corporations to transform their workplace cultures, by reassessing their core value systems, reducing barriers to productivity, and building essential human resource leadership skills.

As the CEO and Founder of MAPS 4 College, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Sarai has helped students develop the necessary competencies to graduate from high school, succeed in college, and excel professionally. Her experience as a teacher, from preschool to graduate students, has given her a unique understanding of the importance of education and character development.

Sarai has received numerous accolades for her work, including being chosen as one of the top 25 Korean-American community leaders under the age of 40 in the nation and voted the top 100 Next Generation Korean American leaders nationwide.
