Sarah was born and raised in the rural community of Alamosa, Colorado, a town with a notorious reputation for its connections to the paranormal. She graduated with honors from New York University's prestigious Tisch School of the Arts program for Film & Television, where she earned minors in Neuroscience and Ancient Religion.
Her impressive feature documentary, "American Bear: An Adventure in the Kindness of Strangers," garnered widespread attention and acclaim, screening at numerous film festivals across the country. The documentary culminated in a successful self-organized theatrical release, followed by an educational screening tour, and eventually an online and DVD release.
Sarah's extensive experience in the film industry has led her to hold various leadership positions. She served as the Managing Director of the Syracuse International Film Festival for its 9th and 10th years, overseeing the festival's operations and ensuring its continued success. Additionally, she worked as the Communications Coordinator for Light Work, a renowned photography nonprofit organization.
In her current role, Sarah works as a Writer's Assistant on Netflix's critically acclaimed series "Black Summer," for which she wrote episode 203. Her previous writing credits include serving as a writer's assistant on Amazon's hit series "Lore" and Syfy's popular show "Z Nation."
