Howard 'Sandman' Sims, a renowned American actor, entered this world on January 24, 1918, in the city of Fort Smith, Arkansas, USA. With a career spanning numerous notable roles, Sims is perhaps best known for his performances in the 1989 films "Tap" and "Harlem Nights", as well as his appearance in Francis Ford Coppola's 1984 cinematic masterpiece, "The Cotton Club".
