Sam, an Intimacy Coordinator, splits her time between Madrid and London, providing her expertise to productions across the UK, EU, the Balkans, Australia, and beyond.
Initially trained in 2019 by Ita O'Brien (IOS),Sam went on to certify as an IC and trainer through Safe Sets Intimacy Coordinators (SA/UK),with direct mentorship from Kate Lush.
With a focus on facilitating positive risk and efficiency, Sam supports scenes involving intimacy, nudity, sexual storytelling, LGTBIQA+ themes, simulated non-consensual touch, and sexual violence, as well as other sensitive and hyper-exposed content.
Throughout her extensive experience on local and international productions, Sam is engaged from initial pre-production to final broadcast, ensuring a smooth and secure process.
Collaborating with producers, showrunners, and directors, Sam offers practical and dynamic consent and agreement frameworks, providing risk mitigation documentation and choreography by request.
In addition to her IC practitioner focus, Sam has a 25+ year career as a professional stage and screen actor in Australia, and has worked with hundreds of young actors as an Educator and Director internationally.
Her attention to detail, script analysis skills, and expansive knowledge of embodied actor approaches to performance contribute a practical and creative foundation to exploring secure intimate storytelling with actors and directors.
