Biography

Sam Feuer, a talented individual with a passion for cinema, was born in New Haven, Connecticut, and spent his formative years in the United States and Israel. His early interest in film led him to work at a movie theater at the age of 14, setting the stage for his future endeavors.

After serving in the Israeli Defense Forces, Feuer pursued his passion for acting, training at the prestigious British American Drama Academy's Midnight In Oxford program, where he was part of an illustrious group of alumni that included David Schwimmer, Ruth Negga, Orlando Bloom, and Paul Giamatti.

Feuer's educational journey continued at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, where he had the opportunity to audition for the renowned actress Shirley MacLaine. Although he missed out on a guest-starring role on the popular TV show Dawson's Creek due to a malfunctioning pager, he graduated from Hunter College Theater with honors and went on to star in numerous local New York City theater productions.

Tragedy struck when Feuer was an eyewitness to the 9/11 attacks, prompting him to pack up and embark on a cross-country drive to the West Coast. Upon his arrival in Hollywood, he met casting director Mali Finn at an open call and landed a role on the TV show The It Factor: Los Angeles, which marked the beginning of his successful career in television and film.

Throughout his career, Feuer has appeared in a wide range of projects, including the international hit show JAG, The Bernie Mac Show, and Strong Medicine. To make ends meet, he worked as a manager at the legendary Comedy Store, where he honed his skills and made valuable industry connections.

Feuer's breakthrough role came when he was cast as Yosef Romano in Steven Spielberg's highly acclaimed film Munich, which received five Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture. He went on to appear in the film David & Fatima, starring Academy Award winner Martin Landau and Academy Award nominee Tony Curtis.

Inspired by Spielberg's mentorship, Feuer embarked on a personal journey, backpacking to a small village in Kenya, where he optioned the rights to a story he discovered in the LA Times. After facing rejection from nearly every major Hollywood studio, he eventually partnered with UK-based BBC Films to produce his first film, The First Grader, starring Academy Award nominee Naomie Harris.

Directed by Justin Chadwick, The First Grader premiered at the prestigious Telluride Film Festival and was runner-up to The King's Speech for the Audience Award at the Toronto International Film Festival. The film received widespread critical acclaim, winning over 20 awards worldwide, including the NAACP Image Award and the Satellite Award.

Feuer's success led him to launch Big Boy Films, a production company dedicated to creating high-quality content for the international market. He has worked with an esteemed team of Academy Award, Emmy, and Golden Globe winners to produce a range of projects, including the Sundance-winning documentary The Green Prince.

In addition to his work in the entertainment industry, Feuer is a yogi, vegan, and passionate advocate for animal rights.
