Before embarking on his acting journey, Ryon spent twenty years honing his skills as a web/graphic creative and marketing professional in Los Angeles, a career he began after relocating to the city in 2002. However, it was a chance encounter with a free online acting class in 2019 that marked the beginning of his foray into the world of acting.
Born Ryan Thomas Hilterbran on January 20, 1978, in Enid, Oklahoma, Ryon is a proud graduate of The Ruskin School of Acting in Santa Monica, California. Under the guidance of esteemed instructors such as John Ruskin, Michael Myers, and Michael Laurie, he mastered the Advanced Meisner Technique. Additionally, he has collaborated with Annie Grindlay and Carla Rosatti at the Annie Grindlay Studio in Hollywood, California.
As a musician, Ryon has been active for over twenty-five years, releasing five albums and performing as a solo artist (Ryon Thomas) and with his band Rival The Giant at numerous iconic Los Angeles music venues, including House of Blues, The Viper Room, El Cid, and The Roxy.
Ryon's educational background boasts a Bachelor of Arts degree, which he earned with honors from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 2001. Today, he resides in the West LA area with his wife Megan and their two daughters, Evely and Brya.
