Guyanese-born filmmaker and actor Ryan Singh is dedicated to crafting diverse and inclusive stories for all audiences. With a prolific career spanning numerous networks and channels, Ryan has worked on shows for NBC, FOX, CBS, Amazon, Apple, Hulu, Disney, Rogers, Bell Media, Planet Africa, and notable Caribbean channels. His recent appearances include Entertainment Tonight Canada and Global News.
As an actor, Ryan's credits include THE EXPANSE (Syfy, Amazon Prime Video),DESIGNATED SURVIVOR (ABC, Netflix),KIM'S CONVENIENCE (CBC, Netflix),and Alexander Payne's DOWNSIZING (Matt Damon).
As a filmmaker, Ryan had the opportunity to capture behind-the-scenes footage on the Oscar-nominated THE BREADWINNER, directed by Nora Twomey and executive produced by Angelina Jolie.
Ryan's other projects are currently screening globally at film festivals in 2021, including the documentary MEMENTO: A SOUTH AFRICAN ARTVENTURE and the sci-fi short H.E.N.R.I., which he co-wrote and co-produced with his twin children, and produced with a crew that was 80% BIPOC and 50/50 female.
Funded by Telefilm Canada, Ryan is currently developing new projects.
A full member of ACTRA, Canadian Media Producers Association (CMPA),IATSE 873 and 411, Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television, and DOC Canada, Ryan is well-established in the industry.
In 2020, Ryan participated in the BIPOC Children's TV Writing Boot Camp, where he was mentored by industry professionals from Nelvana, Disney, Netflix, Corus, CBS, and NBC, and began development on two television series.
