Ryan Scott Thomas has had a multifaceted existence, with various careers that have contributed to his rich life experience. He has worn many hats, including writer, police officer, father, coach, teacher, and wrestler, yet acting has remained a constant thread throughout his life.
As a police officer, Ryan began honing his acting skills on the side, and some of his written work was even produced. Following his departure from the police department, he made the bold decision to pursue acting full-time, relocating to New York to study and refine his craft.
In recent years, Ryan has made a name for himself in television, taking on roles in various shows, including Blue Bloods, New Amsterdam, The Blacklist, The Flight Attendant, and Power: Book III. One of his most notable accomplishments was sharing the screen with the legendary Al Pacino in the series Hunters.
In addition to his television work, Ryan has also ventured into playwriting and has had his work produced on stage. His most recent stage production was inspired by his experiences as a police officer working closely with the community, and he believes that empathy has been a crucial element in both his law enforcement and acting careers.
Most recently, Ryan has been filming a recurring role on David Simon's highly anticipated HBO series, We Own This City (2022). He is thrilled and humbled to be a part of this groundbreaking project and is grateful for the opportunity to bring his unique perspective to the screen.
