Ryan Scharoun was born in upstate New York into a family of esteemed professionals, with a father who worked for the space program in central Florida, where Ryan spent his formative years engaging in various sports.
Attending Florida State University, Ryan's life took an unexpected turn when a speeding ticket led him to comedy traffic school, where he discovered his passion for acting. This newfound interest prompted him to establish an improv troupe and earn a minor in Theatre.
Since then, Ryan's career has undergone significant transformations. He has taken on notable roles, including sports agent Rob Decker in Hallmark's Ring the Bell, and has appeared in various TV comedies, such as I'm Sorry, I Feel Bad and Speechless, opposite the accomplished actress Minnie Driver.
Ryan has also demonstrated his versatility by recurring on both the Young and the Restless and General Hospital, where he portrayed a cunning orderly who served at the behest of the formidable Heather Webber in the latter.
Most recently, Ryan recurred on the television series For the Love of Jason, playing the romantic interest of Laila Odom. He is currently represented by DPN.
