Ryan, a native of the San Francisco Bay Area, dedicated twelve years of his career to the entertainment industry in Los Angeles, where he worked on a variety of projects, including film, television, and commercials.
Prior to his move to New York City in 2009, Ryan honed his skills in theatre and improv comedy by studying at the renowned Groundling's Theatre and Improv Olympic West in Hollywood.
Upon relocating to New York City, Ryan continued to develop his improv comedy talents at The Upright Citizens Brigade and The Peoples Improv Theatre. Additionally, he pursued further education at The Stella Adler Theatre and The Barrow Group, focusing on film and television.
Ryan's first live show in New York was an off-Broadway production, where he worked as an improviser. Following the show's run, he secured several small roles on Saturday Night Live.
It's worth noting that Ryan also attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA),where he studied Political Science and Screenwriting.
