Ryan Baumann is a talented American actress who has had the privilege of working alongside renowned directors such as Michael Bay, Mark Pellington, Sasha Levinson, and Jerry G. Angelo. She has collaborated with industry leaders like Skydance Media, Netflix, Columbia Records New York, and Young & Rubicam New York (now VMLY&R of WPP Group, London),as well as starring in national TV commercials for American Girl dolls as a child.
Born on October 31, 2004, in Los Angeles, California, Ryan is a third-generation actress, tracing her lineage back to her paternal grandmother who began her acting career in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1940. Her maternal great-great-grandfather, Sidney Levy Herold, was a notable American-born attorney of Ashkenazi Jewish descent from Ellerstadt, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, who specialized in oil and gas law in Shreveport, Louisiana, and built a family fortune in land and natural gas production.
As of Fall 2023, Ryan is a student at Vassar College in the Hudson Valley region, north of New York City. She earned Cum Laude Society honors at Windward School in Los Angeles, achieving all "A"s throughout her four years of high school, including in eight AP and eight Honors courses, as well as two years of AP Calculus.
Ryan's breakout role came when she starred in the 2018 film American Warfighter, which led to working with director Michael Bay and actress Adria Arjona in a backstory scene for the movie 6 Underground, starring Ryan Reynolds. She has also appeared in the TV pilot short The Adventures of Horse Hogg, an action-comedy starring Isaac C. Singleton Jr.
Ryan's early career began with her first SAG commercial at just six months old, followed by modeling at the age of five for the Matteo children's clothing line. She became the sole face of their Bambino line from 2010 to 2017 and later featured on sidewalk billboards from Manhattan to Santa Monica as the face of the American Apparel Kids line. By age 10, Ryan had graced the cover of Institute Magazine and appeared in its "Pierrot Theatre" feature spread.
