Ry Barrett is a talented Toronto-based actor with roots in Guelph, Ontario, whose journey in the acting world began with a micro-budget horror film made with friends in 2002, purely for the sake of fun. Little did he know, this initial project would go on to be distributed globally by Lions Gate/Alliance Atlantis, sparking a lifelong passion for the craft that would lead to numerous acting, writing, and producing projects in the years to come.
Throughout his career, Ry has appeared in a range of films and television shows, including the recent festival comedy hit "Cult Hero," which garnered six Canadian Screen Award nominations. He has also recently been seen in the highly acclaimed Sundance 2024 hit "In A Violent Nature," where he took on the lead role of "Johnny." Additionally, Ry has appeared in the current genre festival hit and Canadian Screen Award-nominated film "The Hyperborean," as well as the award-winning festival comedy-horror hit "Beyond The Chamber of Terror."
