Ruth Caudeli is a multifaceted creative force, hailing from Valencia, Spain, where she was born. As a queer director, screenwriter, and producer, she has made a significant impact in the film and television industry.
Caudeli's feature film credits include 'Eva+Candela' (2018),'Second star on the right' (2019),'Leading Ladies' (2021),and "Petit mal" (2022),which premiered at the prestigious Tribeca Film Festival in New York. Her films have also been showcased at numerous international festivals, such as the Málaga Film Festival, the Palm Springs International Film Festival, Outfest Los Angeles, and Frameline.
In addition to her feature films, Caudeli has directed several short films, including 'Late' (2010),'Porque no' (2016),'Between walls' (2017),'EVA menos CANDELA' (2018),and 'Screenshots for a goodbye' (2020),which have received recognition and awards at various international festivals.
For television, Caudeli has directed the critically acclaimed miniseries 'Natalia: Crimen y castigo', winner of the 2021 India Catalina Award for best miniseries, as well as the second unit of the Netflix series 'Pálpito' and the miniseries 'Rosa al amanecer'. She holds a master's degree in film directing from ESCAC and another in fiction for television from Pompeu Fabra University. Caudeli studied audiovisual communication at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, where she received the end-of-course award.
