Biography

Ruggero Leoncavallo, a renowned writer and composer, came into this world on April 23, 1857, in the vibrant city of Naples, which was then part of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, but is now a thriving municipality in the Campania region of Italy.

Throughout his illustrious career, Leoncavallo left an indelible mark on the world of music and film, with some of his most notable works including the iconic opera "Pagliacci," as well as his contributions to the soundtracks of "Moonraker" in 1979, "The Untouchables" in 1987, and "To Rome with Love" in 2012.

On a more personal note, Leoncavallo was married to the lovely Berthe Rambaud, with whom he shared a deep and abiding love.
