Biography

Ruggero was born in the enchanting city of Venice, Italy, where his artistic inclinations were nurtured from a young age. His father, Giuseppe, was a comic artist, and his mother, Caterina, was a writer, setting the stage for Ruggero's own creative pursuits.

As a child, Ruggero's fascination with martial arts began at the tender age of eight, when he started practicing Judo. This marked the beginning of his lifelong passion for physical disciplines, which would later expand to include Karate, Taiji Quan, Xingyi Quan, San Da, Muai Thai, and various other forms.

By the age of fourteen, Ruggero had already gained a solid foundation in Karate and was eager to explore new horizons. He began studying Taiji Quan, Xingyi Quan, San Da, Muai Thai, and other forms, further broadening his expertise.

In 2002, Ruggero was awarded a black belt in Karate, a testament to his dedication and hard work. He soon started teaching, sharing his knowledge with others and refining his own skills.

Ruggero's thirst for knowledge led him to pursue a degree in Oriental Languages (Chinese and Japanese) at the prestigious Ca' Foscari University in Venice. He successfully completed his three-year program in 2005 and went on to travel extensively to China and Japan, immersing himself in the cultures and languages he had studied.

In 2006, Ruggero discovered a new passion for dance and singing. His previous physical experiences allowed him to quickly absorb the basics of contemporary dance, salsa, bachata, jazz, hip-hop, and ballet.

During his time in Beijing, China, in 2007, Ruggero stumbled upon his true calling in acting. He joined the Beijing Acting Workshop and enrolled in a one-year acting course at the Beijing Film Academy, following a summer course at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London.

In 2008, Ruggero was accepted into East 15 Acting School to study World Performance, a unique course that combined his physical abilities with his passion for acting and directing. He quickly excelled in Jing Ju (Beijing Opera),particularly in the Wusheng (male warrior) role-type, and learned the basics of other non-western styles of performance, such as Kecak, Balinese Dance-Drama, African Dance-Drama, Butoh Dance, Hula, and Shadow Puppetry.

Ruggero's talent for acting and directing was further honed through his participation in the International Workshop in Commedia dell'Arte, taught by the renowned Maestro Antonio Fava, in 2009.

In addition to his acting pursuits, Ruggero has a passion for filmmaking. He has been responsible for filming and editing numerous productions during his course at East 15, as well as creating trailers for various theatre productions and businesses.

In 2011, Ruggero co-realized the short movie Flash with Mario Sebastian Sabene, which entered the official selection of the Edge of the City Film Festival 2011.

Since leaving East 15, Ruggero has focused primarily on camera work, taking on lead roles in several short movies and web series.
