Rosser Goodman is a highly acclaimed film and television director, renowned for her work on various platforms including Netflix, Hulu, Apple, Amazon, Vudu, PBS, Sundance, Dekkoo, Here!, and Revry. Recently, she served as the creative lead and English dub director for international Netflix films, showcasing her exceptional skills in adapting content for diverse audiences.
Born on the East Coast, Rosser entered the world of acting at a young age, attending acting school where she excelled in character study and writing. Her passion for directing was ignited at the age of nine, after directing a scene with her classmates, and she has since become an "actor's director," respected for her ability to bring out the best in her cast.
In 2014, Rosser founded Circle Content, a production company based on the Paramount Studios lot, where she produced and directed the feature film "Love or Whatever," which received critical acclaim and international distribution. As a freelance producer and first assistant director, she has led numerous films, pilots, and commercials to completion, working with esteemed clients such as Disney, Lionsgate, Bad Robot, MTV, Paramount, Showtime, and brands Samsung, PetSmart, Toyota, and Proper Bunny.
Rosser's work has been praised by the LA Times and Daily Variety for its suspenseful and involving storytelling, delivering polished and engaging content. Her accolades include the Best Filmmaker Award at the Easter Seals Disability 48 Hour Film Challenge, with her film "PEAPOD" voted into the Top 5 by MAX's Insider Comedy Competition. She was also a finalist in the prestigious Television Directors' Program at Disney and advanced to the second round at the Sundance Labs for her script "Drag King."
Rosser has been recognized for her contributions to the industry, receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Millenia Foundation for her work advancing queer cinema. She has been part of two "50 Women Can" cohorts by Take the Lead, focusing on changing the world in Hollywood and Entertainment, and in Entrepreneurship.
Inspired to solve a problem in the independent film world, Rosser founded TANO RISING FILM, a philanthropic film finance company aimed at uniting those with the means to support those with the voice. A proud member of the Producers Guild of America and the Television Academy, Rosser has also joined the California Society of CPAs, AngelList, Slated, StartOut, and Creative Capital.
When not immersed in her work, Rosser enjoys spending time with her wife and pit bull in the mountains, whether four-wheeling or playing golf.
