Biography

Ronald Shusett, a renowned figure in the world of cinema, was born in June 1935 to David and Fanny Shusett. He was blessed with a younger brother, Gary, who would go on to found the prestigious Sherwood Oaks Film School. When Ronald was just three years old, his family made the significant move from Pittsburgh to Los Angeles, where he would spend the majority of his childhood.

As a young man, Ronald attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) for two years, before venturing into the world of stage production in the mid-1960s. This marked the beginning of a fruitful career, as he went on to write several stories for publication, including concepts for screenplays.

Fast forward to 1974, and Ronald would meet Dan O'Bannon, a partnership that would yield two of his most notable works: 'Alien' and 'Total Recall'. These collaborations would not only cement his reputation as a skilled screenwriter but also pave the way for his involvement in numerous films, primarily within the horror genre.
