Romanna Lobach's illustrious career in the film industry began at a remarkably young age, with her first acting roles in films by the time she was just 11 years old. By 2013, she had completed her Bachelor of Arts in acting from the prestigious Athens Conservatoire Drama School.
Throughout her career, Romanna has had the privilege of working on over 25 feature films and shorts that have premiered at renowned festivals such as the Cannes Film Festival, Venice Film Festival, Rotterdam Film Festival, and the New York Film Festival, among others. Her work has garnered numerous awards at festivals in Greece and abroad, including recognition for her most recent projects, Olla (2019),I don't want to forget anything (2021),and March 4 (2015).
In addition to her work as an actress, Romanna has also gained valuable experience as a copywriter at the McCann advertising agency and in various production companies, honing her skills in multiple roles. Her extensive experience has allowed her to develop a unique perspective and expertise in the film industry.
In 2018, Romanna founded AKRAN Creative Company, a boutique production house where she serves as both producer and creative director. Under her guidance, the company has been developing multiple projects with emerging directors who possess bold and unique voices.
Romanna has attended several prominent industry events, including the European Short Pitch, Torino Short Film Market, Brussels Co-Production Forum, and Crossroads Co-Production Forum at the Thessaloniki International Film Festival, with projects in development. Over the past two years, she has completed nine films, with her most recent project, Midnight Skin, premiering at the 62nd Semaine de la Critique in Cannes in 2023.
Romanna is an alumna of several prestigious industry programs, including the Berlinale Talents, Sarajevo Talents, Locarno Industry Days, and the New Producers Room in Cannes Court Métrage. She has also been recognized as a spotlight producer at the Marche du Film in 2023 and is a member of the Hellenic Film Academy and the Hellenic Producers' Association.
