Andreas Brandy, a New York professionally trained Stanislavski actor and athlete, has had a remarkable journey in the entertainment industry. Born Andreas Brandy Archontakis in Bonningheim, Germany, he is the son of a projector man, Gus Archontakis, and a housewife, Anthoula Petropolis, and also the heir to the late Andreas Archontakis, Movie Theater C.E.O. from Crete, Greece.
Andreas grew up in Clearwater Florida,, and developed a passion for drama while attending Countryside High School. He later moved to Hells Kitchen in New York and worked at various venues, including CBJB, to support himself. During his free time, he studied Shakespeare Intensive at the Gramercy Park Studios in Manhattan.
In his early twenties, Andreas moved to Chicago and trained as a boxer at Windy City Gym. In 1997, he relocated to Los Angeles and continued his acting studies at the Beverly Hills Playhouse, learning Acting, Attitude & Administration from his first acting coach, Milton Katsalas.
Andreas has had an impressive career, performing in numerous community theater productions, including the musical "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" and "The Full Monty". In 2018, he landed a leading role in the indie film "Polterheist", which was an official selection at the prestigious Sunscreen Film Festival.
In 2022, Andreas played the role of Museum Heckler in Francis Ford Coppola's 120 million passion film project, Magalopolis. He is set to take on his biggest role yet, portraying Marlon Brando on Broadway and around the country in the new musical "Cocktails with Brando" in 2023.
Andreas has also had the opportunity to perform in several Shakespeare productions, including "Henry IV", "Midsummer Night's Dream", and "As You Like It", directed by Shakespearean acting teacher Dee O'Brien.
