Roger's Early Life and Education
Roger's journey began in New York City, where he graduated from the prestigious High School of Performing Arts, making his film debut in the iconic movie "Fame". He then pursued his passion for acting by earning his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from Emerson College in Boston.
Roger's Pursuit of Acting
Roger returned to his hometown of New York City to hone his craft under the guidance of renowned teachers such as Stella Adler, Uta Hagen, Herbert Berghof, Ernie Martin, Elaine Aiken, Gene Frankel, and George Morrison. His extensive theatre credits include notable roles in "Coriolanus", "The Taming of The Shrew", "An Enemy Of The People", "Long Day's Journey Into Night", "True West", "Danny And The Deep Blue Sea", "Fragments", and "Peter Pan".
Roger's Diverse Roles
He has also performed the title role in the National tour of "Don Quixote" in both English and Spanish, and has appeared in various productions at the Old Globe Theatre, INTAR Theatre, Harold Clurman Theatre, Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, and Tamarind Theatre. Roger has showcased his improv skills with Manhattan Punch Line in NYC and The Groundlings in Los Angeles.
Roger's Stand-up Comedy and Commercial Ventures
In addition to his acting career, Roger is also a stand-up comic, having performed at renowned clubs such as The Improv, Laugh Factory, Ice House, and The Comedy Store in Hollywood. He has also appeared in numerous national commercials and voice overs.
Roger's Writing Ventures
Roger has ventured into screenwriting, penning a screenplay entitled "Blackbirds" - an adaptation inspired by true events that occurred during the training of combat fighter pilots in WWII. He has also written spec scripts for CBS-TV's "Everybody Loves Raymond", ABC-TV's "According To Jim", and "The Dead Zone" (USA Network). Roger has studied screenwriting with Robert McKee, Chris Huntley (Dramatica),Skip Press, and at UCLA Extension.
