Jerry Warren, a filmmaker, created a fictional name, Rock Madison, by combining elements of Rock Hudson and Guy Madison. Initially, Warren intended to use this pseudonym for Tom Maruzzi, the lead actor in his 1956 film, Man Beast. However, to make the cast appear larger, Warren decided to include Maruzzi at the third billing, while assigning him the character he actually played, and created a non-existent character, Lon Raynon, to justify keeping Guy Madison's name in the credits.
Warren later told interviewers that Lon Raynon was cut from the film, and that Guy Madison played the yeti. However, it was actually other cast members who played the yeti in rotation, and Warren's future wife, Brianne Murphy, was among them. Warren resurrected the Madison name for the star billing in his 1965 film, Creature of the Walking Dead, although none of the advertising materials associated any named actors, including Madison, with the characters.
Given that the film was essentially an edited Mexican feature, Warren could have argued that Rock Madison was a pseudonym for one of the Mexican actors. However, there is no evidence to suggest that he did so. As a result, Rock Madison remains a name without a physical presence, a true non-person.
