Robin Rose Singer is a multifaceted creative professional, boasting a trifecta of skills as a writer, director, and producer. Her impressive résumé boasts a prestigious accolade, being an Academy Nicholl Finalist for her script, The Lions of Mesopotamia, which also earned her a spot on the Wscripted inaugural Cannes list of 25 women screenwriters to watch, as well as recognition on the Blacklist Recommends, Tracking Board Recommends, and Hit List.
In addition to her writing and producing credits, Singer co-directed a short film with Rabia Sultana, one of two projects supported by Google as part of the Producers Guild's PGA Create Lab and Fellowship. Furthermore, she is developing a thriller set in Panama, Mala Sangre (Bad Blood),which is also being supported by the PGA.
Singer's recent projects include 109 Billions Followers, a film starring J.K. Simmons and Nina Arianda, as well as Contempt, starring Reed Birney. She also directed Angelfish, a debut feature for rapper Princess Nokia, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival's Next Wave program. Her other notable projects include "Interference," which screened at the NBC Universal Film Festival and BAM Cinematek, and "Aphasia," which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival. Maturity, a comedy series, won the IFP Made in NY: Series Competition and took home two Telly Awards for Comedy and Music.
