Biography

Roberto Garcia's life journey began in Mexico, where he was born, but his childhood was spent in the vibrant San Fernando Valley region of Southern California. Growing up, he was drawn to the idea of serving his country, and so, at the tender age of 17, he enrolled in the US Marines during his senior year at Birmingham High School.

Upon graduating, Roberto embarked on his Marine Corps training at the prestigious Marine Corps Recruiting Depot (MCRD) in San Diego, California. He then reported to Camp Pendleton, where he spent the duration of his contract. During his Marine career, Roberto was assigned to Alpha Company, 4th Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, which was equipped with the LAV-25, an 8-wheeled combat vehicle weapons system.

As a member of Alpha Company, Roberto honed a wide range of skills, including those of a LAV mechanic and reconnaissance infantry scout. He received training in various areas, such as Military Operations on Urban Terrain (MOUT),logistics, communications, Emergency Medical Tech, and other duties that contributed to the success of the line company of a reconnaissance unit.

In 2003, Roberto's unit, Alpha Company, 4th Light Armored Reconnaissance, was activated to participate in Operation Iraqi Freedom. As part of the 1st Marine Division, they were tasked with leading the charge into Baghdad, Iraq. Roberto's unit was responsible for conducting human extractions, providing security escorts for various Department of Defense elements, as well as high-risk informants who provided vital intelligence to Allied forces.

During this period, Alpha Company also participated in various humanitarian missions, including providing security for national elections and training the initial wave of Iraqi police in the southeastern region of Baghdad. They were also tasked with disposing of unexploded ordinance that had been set as traps against Allied forces and posed a hazard to local communities.

Roberto's bravery and dedication to duty were recognized when he was wounded in action during one of his numerous operations in Iraq. He received the Purple Heart for his injuries and was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps.

Following his combat tour, Roberto transitioned to a career in the Entertainment industry, where he has worked as a Military Tactical Advisor, Stunt Performer, Stunt Coordinator, and Actor. His experiences and skills have made him a valuable asset in the industry, and he continues to be involved in various projects that showcase his talents.
