Born in Michigan, Rob is a true Mid-Western boy, having been raised in Kansas. His educational journey began at Wabash College in Indiana, where he studied theatre and German. This foundation later led him to pursue a Master of Fine Arts in Theatre Directing at UCLA.
Following his academic endeavors, Rob seized the opportunity to hone his craft by interning at the renowned Berliner Ensemble in Berlin, Germany. He continued to develop his skills in Germany, directing several productions before deciding to return to acting.
Rob's acting career began with a stint of study at the prestigious Royal National Theatre of London. From 2004 to 2007, he gained widespread recognition by starring in Germany's most popular daily soap, "Gute Zeiten, Schlechte Zeiten," as Vincent Buhr, the charismatic South African heart-breaker.
Today, Rob continues to thrive as a multifaceted artist, balancing his work as an actor in film, television, and theatre with his career as a director of theatre and television. His most recent accomplishment includes directing 15 episodes of the highly successful daily soap, "Unter Uns," in 2007.
In addition to his impressive acting and directing credentials, Rob is also a skilled singer and comedian, further solidifying his reputation as a talented and versatile performer.
