Born in the vibrant city of Los Angeles, California, Robert's early life was marked by a series of relocations across the Western United States, ultimately leading him back to his roots in California, where he would go on to pursue his passion for acting and theatre.
It was during his time in Hollywood that Robert had the opportunity to study under the tutelage of renowned acting coaches Lee Strasberg and Bobby Lewis, honing his craft and directing critically acclaimed stage productions that would solidify his reputation in the industry.
However, it was a chance encounter with a casting director who spotted Robert in a series of television commercials that would ultimately lead to his breakthrough role on the daytime drama, One Life to Live, in New York City. His impressive performance earned him a three-year contract, marking a significant milestone in his career.
Following his time on the East Coast, Robert returned to Los Angeles in 1981, where he continued to work in feature films and television series, including the popular shows Dallas, Simon & Simon, and St. Elsewhere.
