Biography

Robert DiTillio began his acting career in New York City where he appeared in off-off Broadway plays, most notably two rarely produced works by Joyce Carol Oates. He also worked on independent films, soap operas, and many music videos in the city.

In Hollywood, DiTillio made guest appearances on TV shows including Babylon 5, Sliders, Profiler, General Hospital, NYPD Blue, and more. He was a prizewinner on America's Funniest People for a sketch that he co-wrote.

On stage, DiTillio's work in LA includes playing Sal Carducci in the critically acclaimed hit, Kold Radio, Whitefish Bay (aka Crappie Talk),and performing at The Comedy Store with his improv group Are You Talkin' Ta Me? He is passionate about improv comedy and works with Rogue Improv and Community Improv on a regular basis.

He has also performed with the socially conscious sketch comedy group Laughtivism at iO West.

DiTillio has appeared in a variety of feature films over the years, including playing Demetrius in a punk rock/goth version of A Midsummer Night's Dream, directed by horror novelist S.P. Somtow.

Other noteworthy film credits include Dragon Fighter with Dean Cain, The Straun House (aka Dr. Rage) with Karen Black, The Olivia Experiment, and the remake Night Of The Living Dead 3D.

Online, DiTillio has appeared in several web series and was nominated as Best Actor in a Comedy Web Series for The Rose Chronicles by the StayTunedTV Awards in 2010.

He was also seen streaming in the Amazon Prime cop comedy The Heat Of The Beat, playing an abrasive attorney, and on the Facebook Original series Turnt, as a teacher.

In 2020-2021, DiTillio performed live online in numerous performances of Tom Cavanaugh's award-winning Zoom thriller Now, Now, Now...

Notable short films showcasing DiTillio include Tip Toe, which screened at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival, Attack Of The Film Festivals, which won Best Short Film Comedy at the 2015 Burbank International Film Festival, and 2016's multiple award-winning Happy Hour, in which he gets to show his romantic side.

His latest short film appearance, Moving Violation, will be premiering in July 2022 at the LA Shorts Festival.

The Book Club, short comedy produced by and starring DiTillio and Christine DiTillio, who also wrote the screenplay, is on the festival circuit.

DiTillio's short horror script, Easy To Scare, was a 2019 winner of the We Make Movies Short Film Challenge. He also directed and produced the film along with Christine, who plays Janet. Easy To Scare is in post-production.
