Biography

Rob Medaska began his career as a member of the Improv Comedy group Take Two, performing in various venues around Northern New Jersey. Along with a few fellow members, he went on to form the Improv/Sketch comedy group Manhattan Improv Company, which performed at numerous locations in New Jersey and New York City, including Rascals, The Laugh House, Don't Tell Mamas, The Duplex, Ed Sullivan Theatre, and Comedy Cellar, to name a few.

Next, Rob joined Group Therapy, a mostly sketch comedy group that performed in New York City and gained recognition, briefly becoming part of The Morris Agency's stable. He then created and directed "Cable XS," a show that featured a collection of sketch comedy pieces mixed with live animation, creating a visually stunning and innovative medium for comedy.

"Cable XS" went on to win the "Award of Distinction" at the Videographer's Awards and gained significant exposure in New York City, Los Angeles, and Northern New Jersey. The show's popularity led to international exposure, with a UK-based company, Sick Sports Memorabilia, signing and marketing the show.

Sick Sports Memorabilia was a spin-off of Cable XS, featuring two characters created by Rob and his partner, which were developed into their own pilot vehicle. The project also included the development of a feature movie incorporating these characters. Sick Sports Memorabilia received critical acclaim at the NYC and LA film festivals.

Rob's other creative credits include working on numerous independent short and feature films, both in front of and behind the camera.
