Rinku Rajguru's journey in the film industry began at a remarkably young age, when she was just in the 7th standard. She was handpicked by acclaimed director Nagraj Manjule to play the lead role of Archana, or Archie, in his film Sairat, despite not conforming to traditional standards of beauty.
It was in 2013 that Rinku first met Nagraj, and after a year of deliberation, she was finalized for the role. This marked the beginning of an incredible journey for the young actress, who was about to take on a character that would test her limits.
As Archie, Rinku played an action-oriented role, performing many of her own stunts in the film. In one particularly challenging scene, she had to jump into a well, showcasing her bravery and determination. Additionally, she rode a Bullet, a traditionally masculine bike, as well as a tractor, demonstrating her versatility and willingness to take risks.
Rinku's outstanding performance as Archie earned her a special mention at the National Awards, making her one of the youngest actresses to receive this prestigious recognition. Her co-star Akash Thosar, who played the role of Parshya, also gained widespread popularity after the film's release. The two actors went on to appear on various TV shows, including the Kapil Sharma show, and were interviewed on numerous channels.
Interestingly, there were reports suggesting that Rinku and Akash were paid a bonus of 5 crores after the film's box office success, which had collected nearly 100 crores. However, Rinku denied these claims, stating that she had been paid only what was originally agreed upon.
