Rimi Beqiri was born on May 16, 1982, in Tirana, Albania, a country located in the Balkan Peninsula of Southeastern Europe. At the tender age of 16, he made the bold decision to leave his hometown and relocate to Florence, Italy, a city renowned for its rich cultural heritage and stunning architecture. Under the guidance of his uncle, Beqiri completed his studies and obtained a specialization in electric and electronic-radio TV expertise, a unique combination of skills that would serve him well in his future endeavors.
As his interest in the film industry grew, Beqiri attended the prestigious "National Independent Film School" of Florence, founded by the visionary Salvatore Vitiello. This marked the beginning of a long-term collaboration between Beqiri and Vitiello, who would go on to feature him in several of his notable feature films and short films.
In addition to his film studies, Beqiri also pursued his passion for theater by attending a workshop at "Tedavi '98" in Florence. This experience allowed him to hone his acting skills and perform in itinerant shows across Tuscany, a region in central Italy known for its rolling hills, charming villages, and world-class art and architecture.
As his career progressed, Beqiri decided to relocate to Rome, the Eternal City, in 2008. He was accepted into the "International Theater Academy" after a rigorous exam process and went on to graduate as an actor and assistant director in 2011. During his time in Rome, Beqiri gained valuable professional experience by appearing in various television series and independent film productions, laying the foundation for a successful career in the entertainment industry.
