Rick Altizer is a multifaceted creative force, boasting an impressive array of talents that span the realms of film, music, and broadcasting. As a film director, he has garnered widespread recognition for his work, including the critically acclaimed "Russ Taff: I Still Believe", which has won a staggering nine awards at various film festivals.
In addition to his work in feature films, Rick has also directed three award-winning documentaries for the renowned comedian Chonda Pierce. These documentaries, "Unashamed", "Enough", and "Laughing in the Dark", all achieved remarkable success, with "Unashamed" and "Enough" claiming the number two spot at the American box office, and "Laughing in the Dark" reaching a respectable number five.
As a music producer, Rick has earned two Dove Award nominations and has sold an impressive one million albums. His extensive production credits include notable artists such as Johnny Cash, Vince Gill, Marty Stuart, and Russ Taff. Furthermore, Rick has also pursued a successful music career as a recording artist, releasing seven studio albums that boast three top 10 singles.
Beyond his creative endeavors, Rick is also the worship leader at Hickory Grove PCA Church in Nashville, Tennessee. In his personal life, he is married to his wife, Jan, and is the proud father of two sons, David and Matthew, as well as their spouses, Laura and an additional grandson, Ryan, and great-grandson, Caleb.
