Richard Vetere is a multi-talented individual with a diverse range of creative accomplishments. His screenplay adaptation of his own published stage play, Caravaggio, won the prestigious Golden Palm for Best Screenplay at the 2021 Beverly Hills International Film Festival.
In addition to his screenwriting endeavors, Vetere is also a skilled playwright. His teleplay adaptation of his own play, The Marriage Fool, starring the renowned actors Walter Matthau and Carol Burnett, is now available to stream on Amazon. He co-wrote the screenplay adaptation of his own novel, The Third Miracle, directed by Agnieszka Holland and starring Ed Harris and Anne Heche, produced by the esteemed Francis Ford Coppola.
Vetere's literary accomplishments extend beyond the realm of screenwriting and playwriting. He has published a memoir, Live Fast, Die Young & Leave a Goodlookin' Corpse: a memoir of the 1970s, in 2021. His play, Zaglada, was published in 2019 and had its world premiere at the Ensemble Stage in 2022.
Vetere's extensive bibliography includes novels such as The White Envelope, I, Human, The Writers Afterlife, and Champagne & Cocaine. His latest novel, She's Not There, is slated for release in 2023. Furthermore, his most recent published poetry collection is "The Other Colors In The Snowstorm".
In addition to his creative pursuits, Vetere has also made appearances on television and film. He portrayed Louis Werner in The Great American Heist on Fox Nation and will be starring as Gus in Jorde Torrent's new film, Third Week, which is set to premiere at festivals in 2023.
