Richard's illustrious career in the entertainment industry commenced when he arrived in the United States as a young boy, accompanied by the renowned acrobatic troupe, the Mazetti Troupe, which had been hired by the esteemed Barnum & Bailey Circus.

Interestingly, Richard's early foray into filmmaking is said to have begun as a stunt double for the legendary actor and filmmaker, Doug Fairbanks, Sr., a pioneer in the industry and a true Hollywood icon.
