Biography

Richard Duke's life journey began in Coimbatore, India, where he spent his earliest years at the Families For Children Home in Podanur. In 1991, he was adopted by an ex-pat British family in Canada, marking a significant turning point in his life. This new family and their Canadian upbringing played a pivotal role in shaping his future.

As he grew older, Richard's passion for acting only intensified, prompting him to relocate to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada in the fall of 2010. This move allowed him to pursue a professional acting career, during which he had the privilege of studying with esteemed acting coaches and teachers from Los Angeles, New York, and Vancouver.

In the spring of 2013, Richard expanded his creative horizons by venturing into writing, directing, and producing, in addition to his acting pursuits. This newfound versatility was soon recognized, as he was accepted into the prestigious Emerging 20 mentorship program by ReelWorld, which is closely tied to the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). Through this program, he honed his skills and gained valuable experience in the industry.

Richard's educational background is also noteworthy, as he studied general arts at the University of British Columbia for two years. This foundation in the arts likely influenced his subsequent decisions to pursue a career in the entertainment industry.

Throughout his journey, Richard has worked on numerous projects in Vancouver, Los Angeles, and Seattle, showcasing his talent and versatility as a writer, director, producer, and actor.
