Rich Hutchman, a multifaceted individual, was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, amidst the tumultuous backdrop of civil unrest. His family, seeking a more peaceful environment, relocated to the Detroit area when he was just four years old.
Growing up in Livonia, Michigan, Rich attended Benjamin Franklin High School, where he nurtured his artistic inclinations. He then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater Arts at Kalamazoo College, a renowned institution in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
After completing his formal education, Rich dedicated the next decade to honing his acting skills in Chicago. He had the privilege of working with esteemed theaters such as Lookingglass Theater, Steppenwolf Theater, and many others, further refining his craft.
In 1998, Rich made the bold decision to relocate to Los Angeles, following the release of the horror movie Stricken. Since his arrival, he has maintained a consistent presence in the film and television industry, with notable projects including Mad Men, Deja Vu, and Space Hospital, which hold a special place in his heart.
Despite his success in the entertainment industry, Rich remains committed to his passion for theater. He continues to work with Buzzworks Theater Company, a Silverlake-based organization that shares his dedication to the art form.
