Reza Leal-Smartt was born on September 3rd, 1997, in San Diego, California. Her passion for the arts began at a young age, as she would often put on small shows for her friends and family when she was just 4 years old. Recognizing her talent, her parents enrolled her in her first dance academy for ballet and dance when she was still young.
Reza's first major production was "The Nutcracker" in 2004, at the age of 7. She loved the experience so much that her parents continued to support her passion for the arts, encouraging her to pursue her dreams.
As she grew older, Reza began to audition for various productions and landed her first featured role in a short film, "Charlie's Dilemma," in 2011. She went on to star in a co-star role in the film "Sense & Sensibility" and appeared in commercials for companies like Microsoft and Nickelodeon.
In 2013, Reza achieved a recurring role on the three-time Emmy-nominated TV show "Biz Kid$," and in 2017, she starred in the film "Wallflower." In 2019, she appeared in the film "Here Awhile."
Throughout her career, Reza has received extensive training in acting and dance from renowned teachers and directors, including Linda Evans, Bo Kane, Gary Spatz, Jodi Rothfeild, Nike Imoru, Chambers Stevens, and Angela DiMarco/David Hogan. She has also received vocal coaching from multiple coaches and has trained in various dance styles, including ballet, lyrical/jazz, and hip hop.
Aside from her passion for the arts, Reza is an avid reader and a determined hard worker in her education. She graduated with an Associate's Degree in Biology and enjoys skiing, swimming, singing/listening to music, and hiking in her free time.
Reza continues to pursue her passion for the arts, always striving to grow and learn as an artist.
