Reen Vogel was born and raised in Marshall, Wisconsin, where she developed a passion for acting through her high school plays. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, she pursued a 10-year career in advertising, gaining valuable experience in the business side of the entertainment industry.
However, after having children, Reen decided to become a stay-at-home mom, which allowed her to focus on her true passion for entertainment. She began volunteering in the community theatre scene, where she eventually co-founded and served as the Managing/Artistic Director for Contra Costa Christian Theatre in San Francisco's East Bay.
Under her leadership, the theatre won numerous awards, including the Shellie Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Arts in 2005. Reen's experience as a community theatre director also led her to serve as a High School Drama Director for a couple of years, where she enjoyed working with teenagers.
In 2014, with her youngest child heading off to college, Reen made the transition to a full-time career as an on-camera actor and voice actor. She has since appeared in a variety of projects, including television shows and feature films.
Some of her notable roles include playing Francesca Cerullo opposite Dominic Zamprogna on General Hospital in 2024, Mayor Betz opposite Jana Kramer and other notable actors in Lifetime TV's A Welcome Home Christmas in 2020, Dr. Lynn Harris opposite Clarence Gilyard Jr. in the feature film The Perfect Race in 2019, and opposite Haley Lu Richardson in the independent feature film Columbus in 2017.
Reen has also honed her skills in comedy improv at The Groundlings and UCB, as well as in scripted comedy at Scott Sedita Acting Studios in Los Angeles. In her free time, Reen and her husband enjoy golfing and reside in the Los Angeles area.
