Reema Debnath, a talented actress, was born on November 13, 1979, in Agartala, Tripura, India, to Surendra Debnath, a retired civil servant, and Hiran Bala Debnath, a homemaker. Her younger sister, Iren Debnath, is a psychologist. Reema pursued her education in Commerce from Calcutta University, concurrently obtaining a Diploma in Modern Office Management from the West Bengal State Council and a Certificate in Computing from the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). Additionally, she prepared for a Master's in Computer Application from IGNOU, although she did not complete it.
Reema's passion for acting led her to enroll in the Kolkata Film & Television Institute (KFTI),where she earned a Diploma in Acting. She then joined the Nalini Kalamanch theatre group in Mumbai, which marked the beginning of her successful career in television, films, and advertisements. She is the first child from her family to pursue a career in acting and the first actress from Tripura to work in the Indian Hindi Film & TV Industry, also known as Bollywood.
Reema is a Life Member of the Cine & TV Artistes' Association (CINTAA) in Mumbai. Her extensive work includes various TV shows, such as Jai Shri Krishna for the COLORS channel and Chandramukhi for DD National. She has also appeared in episodic shows, including CID for Sony, Aahat for Zee, Jyoti for NDTV Imagine, and others. Her advertising credits include Zen Mobile in 2010, Nokia ringtone in 2008, Teleshopping in 2008 and 2009, and more.
Reema's filmography boasts a range of Hindi films, such as Bodyguard directed by Siddique Ismail, P.K. directed by Rajkumar Hirani, Pappu Can't Dance Sala directed by Sourabh Shukla, Machchli Jal Ki Rani Hain directed by Debaloy Dey, and Namah Shivaya Shantaya directed by Abhijit Kumar.
