Ms. Kadem is a four-time winner of the Best Lead Actress award at the Amsterdam International Filmmaker Festival, Milan International Film Festival of World Cinema, Multicultural Film Festival in California, and Boston International Film Festival. She received two nominations for the same role at the London International Film Festival and North Europe International Film Festival in England, and one nomination at the South Europe International Film Festival in Valencia, Spain.
Ms. Kadem made her debut in Indian cinema with the lead role in the feature film "Nawal the Jewel", which is inspired by the true story of Reyhaneh Jabbari, a woman who was sentenced to death in Iran after defending herself against an officer who tried to rape her. The film was shot bilingual in Malayalam and English, with Ms. Kadem working opposite acclaimed Indian actors such as Adil Hussain, Shweta Menon, and Anjali Upasana.
Ms. Kadem is the first American actor to use her own voice as a non-fluent speaker in Mollywood Cinema, and she learned Malayalam for the role, spending several months preparing for the script before arriving in India. The film made its festival debut in 2018 and has received numerous nominations and wins.
Ms. Kadem is also one of the main stars of the film "Revenge Ride", which won the Best Ohio Feature Film award. She was handpicked by director Melanie Atikenhead and actor/producer James Franco to portray Nona, a lead motorcycle gang member, in the gritty story of a female gang seeking revenge against the men who wronged them.
Ms. Kadem began her training in theater at the age of 14 and has studied with renowned actors such as Alfred Molina, Jack Stehlin, Bobby Moresco, and Carey Scott. Along with her acting career, she is also an award-winning screenwriter and has received her BFA in the field.
As a producer and screenwriter, Ms. Kadem has various projects in active development with top industry professionals, including Academy Award-winning and Golden Globe-nominated talents.
